Auto insurance rates rise July 1 in Michigan
LANSING, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – With a new month comes a rise in auto insurance in Michigan.
On Saturday, July 1, auto insurance rates will go up as part of the no-fault insurance system. It will rise from $160.00 to $170.00 per vehicle according to the Michigan Catastrophic Claims Association. (MCAA)
The MCCA says costs to pay existing benefit claims are going up and the association is passing those costs on to us. The fee covers lifetime healthcare costs that go beyond 550-thousand-dollars per claim.
